Pretty neat! I've got the stainless already, but what's one more little plane going to hurt?

Price is pretty low since they are making a fairly large run- you would be foolish not to get one!

I imagine it will be very light. I'm super curious to use it, as their HP-10 is aluminum and it is wonderful to use, so light and effortless; really contradicts the idea that more mass is better.

I've already ordered mine! Can hardly wait! What a bargain. I've been wishing that I had a LA block plane that size - was even eyeing one of the old brass HP-8s on ebay. Nice that I didn't have to go that route.

Yes - I exercised some restraint. But you probably shouldn't ask how many Rutager has...

I ordered one - currently working on the Fog of War strips and was wishing I had a second plane with skids for different thicknessing.

Really enjoy the stainless HP-8.

As to quantity, Peter - Rutager doesn't adjust his. He has one set at every 1/16" !

Out of curiosity, what is the width of the blade? I went looking and couldn't find it anywhere.

I was thinking it might be a nice thing to look forward to in December.

There is a specifications tab that lists it as .94".
