Oh sure, another teaser. I wonder if the metric version will be the same??????

I suppose only lots of time will tell.

It'd bet the metric version would have the same calibration. Only difference would be the amount the traveler moves per turn of the micro-adjust as the pitch is different between metric and crazy-fractions.

I'm just trying to needle Michael a bit. I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

So, after watching the video a few times, I see some adjustments going on with what I'm assuming is (are) hex wrenches. Are these the same sizes I already have, or do I need to order a few new sizes for my new fence? If so, which sizes?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike,

I just did the adjustment and I'm pretty sure 7/64" does the pivots on the stop, and 1/16" does the tiny plastic squaring to table adjusting screw.

I actually checked all these at the WIA, and I think it was 5/64, 7/64, 1/4 and 9/64 to do all the things on the fence and JMP.

I just double checked, and you'll need a 1/16" for the squaring and it also works on the clear plastic cursor.

So, you probably don't need any additional tool, but don't let that stop you, you have our permission to buy another set of Allen wrenches just to keep handy- probably should get another handplane and maybe a set of chisels, in case we overlooked something.

Best,
Rutager

FYI, the Elkhead Tools guys might be bringing out a special set of hex drivers just for the JMP...
