Default Out-of-the-box caulking contest

As I'm SURE you're all aware, John Economaki had hist first annual (perhaps) caulking container contest this month. Inspired by a student in one of his classes, John exhorted his Drivel Starved Nation to inundate him with photos of weird ideas involving caulk guns.

The thousands (!) of entries were whittled down to nine finalists, posted here:
John's Blog Blog Archive Creative Caulking: Lots of Cracks to Fill…

There are some pretty funny ones. I like #4 (it's not mine). I'll admit I have an entry or two (or three) in there. You can go to John's blog page to vote on your favorites. Vote for mine.

I bet if he'd offered Laurie's candy he'd have gotten more entries...

I wish I could find a $4.99 tube of caulk like that.

John Economaki asked me to post this for him: (really, he did)

"First, thanks to those who participated in our little caulk gun contest...we are going to do it again next year.

Peter sent me a link to this thread (drifting far from land--or so it seems). I sat down and typed out seven or eight paragraphs of my thoughts but in the interest of time, my summary is below;

Next week we are going to announce 3/8" and 1/2" dado soles for the HP-6v2...how cool is that?"

So, what's the translation.

What's any of that?

#9 says:

"If you can read this you should go start work you lazy bum, instead of looking at a caulking gun."

You'll notice it was posted by a Canadian - hence my superior translating abilities.
