I also bought the HP-6v2 bundle but unlike you all, I bought mine just to rub it in Rutager's face.

John, I too tried the tool therapy route but it was hard to build anything with my therapist.

This sale must have sold a lot of HP6v2s to people new to the HP6v2 (not everybody is like us needing one for each room of the house). Reason is my blog's couple HP6v2 entries are getting a dozen or so search hits a day; that's more hits than the previous year combined. Good to know people are getting into a fine fine plane.

I've thought about this plane several times but always seemed to get bogged down in the irons & accessories. The package deal tipped me over the edge although I still need to order the hones and I'd like the ogee sets that are out of stock. They will no doubt have them available in the future.
