It's May 25th. It was in the e-mail they sent out.

Peter, I know what you mean about the "glare" in the picture about it being black chrome. Before I purchased my HP-7 which was recently, I thought the stainless steel handle was black chrome because it looks like in the pictures but when I got it I was obviously wrong. When you take a picture of stainless steel, if the light it's it just right it looks black?

Where would the US economy be without you, John?

The second blade for ordering early is a nice touch. It would be good if there were an option to make it in O-1 rather than A-2. Then it could be ground at 25/30 or even 20/25. That would nicely complement the main A-2 blade.

Regards,
Guy

At least I can be fairly certain I don't already have one of these buried out in the garage.

I'm actually a little upset that this extra blade deal is only good until May 3rd. I haven't even paid for the 2nd half of my CT-16 and drill/driver set which is expensive. So we know the CT-16 is shipping this week, that means within 2 weeks I need to come up with $700 to pay for the CT-16 plus the bits and then the CT-17 to get the extra blade.

My uncle (Sam) got all of my plane(s) money yesterday -- it will be awhile.

We do know that the timing can be inconvenient for some. And especially this time around with the CT-16 and April 15th Tax Day.
Please contact our office as it is possible to set up an Easy Pay payment plan for you.

About the angles ground on the iron:
John will be having a poll on his blog to see if more people prefer one iron grind more than another. He might even talk about the A2 and O1 steel choice, and I know a few of you know about D2 as well.
