Not marketers, per se, what we have is a group of manufacturers and vendors who are willing to discuss and answer questions about their products. Every one of them has their own site where they do their marketing. None of them pay anything to have a spot here, they are invited when we think they'll add interest and content to the forum. Several of those invited have actually turned us down because of bad experiences on other forums.

We have no commercial connection with any company represented here, and any of their tools we may own have been purchased at full price. I can honestly say that I have never been given a free or discounted tool by ANYONE, EVER. I would not except one if offered (although no one has offered yet ) If I have a problem with any of the products produced or sold by any of these companies, or their service, I want to be free to talk about it. The only "consideration" I would give them is a fair chance to make things right before "going public". But I would do that with ANY company.

Also, you're welcome to say anything (and as much as you like) about anything here, as long as it is done in a respectful way, is based on facts, or is an honest and objective opinion.

Disclosure: I did receive a very nice plane as a birthday gift from Fred and Poto a few years ago. (thanks again guys )

Another disclosure: I did buy one of Tico Vogts new shooting boards. And yes I do have plenty of scrap laying around, I never toss any wood.

Why did I buy one? Because I haven't gotten around to building one yet, even after years of thinking about it. And Tico has put so much time and thought into getting it right.
