I also saw that show and was amazed at the craftsmanship. I think that boat was well over $100K. I seem to recall they said the build was over five months of work. It has to have $25-30K in the engines I would bet.

That show is a new one for me - I tried to find it as a series, and it appears it may be a prototype show hosted by the guy that used to be on TOH - Steve Thomas.

Well worth the hour of viewing if you can find it on your cable network - American Craftsman on HD Theater.
