Actually, I do need to get a few 4 footers, I have been happily using the 2 footers but my next project will require the 4 footers...and perhaps a couple of 6 INCHERS.

In these two pictures you will see the two culprits causing the shavings as well as the thick curlies. I love my #8 and #62 as they are killer planes. The #8 is also just a beast and just looks as if you could fell a tree with it. After these two, my two Marcou smoothers come in and make this wood softer than a babies butt.. All in all these planes are quite poplar with me.
